Fritillaria meleagris

Plant of the week

Fritillaria meleagris (small spring flowering bulb for naturalising or pots)

Tip of the week

Scarify your lawn – use a spingbok (spring tine rake) and rake over the area in all directions. The aim is to rake out dead grass and moss. Do this before mowing for a few weeks – it will give grass chance to grow strongly and it will soon recover from the scarification process.
